Even though I won’t be travelling anywhere this week (or anytime soon), the thought of travelling makes me really excited. Uh that sounds weird? haha. I don’t travel often but when I do, I take the opportunity to explore around and actually take the time to look at what makes the places I visit unique! Exploring around your home city is just as fun. I spent some time last summer exploring my city (and I’ve been living in the same city for almost all my life) and you would never guess that you’ll be able to find some interesting places. So my inspiration for this week is to note down some places I would love to visit. Summer is just around the corner and that is the perfect time to explore!
Some serious soul searching in these books. Currently reading The Defining Decade by Meg Jay. According to Meg Jay, ‘The Defining Decade’ is also known as your 20s. I think it’s a crucial read when you’re in your 20s. It’s the time when you’re finally an adult and sometimes this decade leads people unsure about their future ahead. Whether you’re confident about your future or not, this book emphasizes on opportunities, self discovery, self help, how to be motivated and much more. I’ve heard nothing but good reviews on all these books and I’m excited to start reading the rest. (L to R: The Defining Decade by Meg Jay, A Million Little Pieces by James Frey, Into the Wild by Jon Krakauer, It’s not how good you are, it’s how good you want to be by Paul Arden)
What are you currently reading? I have a huge list of books to read but I’d love to add more!
If you follow me on Instagram, I recently posted a picture of a raw treat that I made just by playing around with ingredients that I had in my kitchen. I’ve seen SO MANY creations of these lovely, delicious raw treats that I wanted to try one of my own. Unfortunately, the end result didn’t succeed my expectations but it tasted good! However, I stumbled upon Tastemade YouTube channel a few weeks back and they have a Raw. Vegan. Not Gross. segment with Laura Miller and I have to say… she’s now my new fav YouTube food channel host. She has a such a great, chill personality and her recipes are super easy to do. Her recent video is how to make these delicious Raw Vegan Ice Cream Sandwiches, which looks heavenly! Also, the ice cream is made from coconut milk and chai tea, two of my favourite things! I probably wouldn’t mind just eating the ice cream on it’s own. The weather is finally getting warmer and I think these ice cream sandwiches will be perfect for a delicious spring treat.
