Consuming leafy green vegetables becomes very beneficial for your overall health. Sure, some may taste “earthy” than others and it may not be your thing. But honestly, adding it in a smoothie or sneaking it in a soup changes the taste of it! However, keep in mind that you get the best nutrients when the greens are raw or when minimum cooking was done to it (for example; steaming). By consuming leafy greens (spinach, kale, swiss chard, broccoli – just to name a few) you obtain vitamins such as A,C,E,K, fiber and antioxidants!
A few of my favourite ways to incorporate greens in my daily life is adding it to my smoothie. Above (on the right), I added a handful of spinach, half an avocado, one banana and a cup of almond milk. On the left you see kale chips (my absolute favourite!)
