How to declutter your space and your mind

Our space and our mind contains so much things and thoughts that we don’t necessarily want. We all need a space that we should feel safe in. Whether it is a small corner in your living room, your bedroom or even your whole house. We tend to consume a lot of materialistic things over the weeks, months, years – sometimes to people they are just “things”, nothing meaningful. If you’re able to live in a minimalist life, try that. Sometimes, little is more. Our mind is filled with countless thoughts every single minute of every single day. Sometimes it can be too much for us. Although it’s impossible to have our thoughts to be stopped completely. Even when we’re sleeping our mind is still running. Fortunately, there are some ways that we can pause our mind even just for a little bit. Here are some tips that can be helpful to start decluttering your space and mind.

Decluttering your space:

  • Throw away unnecessary things
    – Is it meaningful?
    – Why do I have it?
    – Do I have more than one of Β it?
  • Regularly throw/donate items
    – Every season
  • Organize your space

Decluttering your mind:

  • Stay positive
  • Stay present
  • Practice meditiation
  • Excersie
  • Go for a walk
  • Take each task one step at a time
  • Write down your thoughts
  • Read
  • Go to a place where you feel at ease
  • Talk to someone
